Thanks for posting another set of interesting facts on your blog. The United Kingdom really is one of my favourite places to visit and I was lucky enough to live there for a few years from 2007-2009. When I lived in the UK, there were less than 53 million people there so it is clearly growing bigger by the day!
I was working as a PE teacher when I lived in the UK so became very familiar with many of the sports that you have listed on your blog. I had to teach my students how to play netball, rugby, rounders, and cricket. It was really challenging for me because I had never played (or even heard of) any of these sports before I moved there. I didn't play netball, rugby, cricket or rounders in my Canadian school so I had to read books and watch Youtube clips in order to learn about the sports!
Speaking of sports, do you have a favourite sport? I would love to know more about what you enjoy playing here in NZ. If you have time, please feel free to blog back. Hello Shailah, your post about the U< is really interesting. I live in London and didn't know that we have just 9 public holidays.
